2009 is upon us... Greetings to all visitors to East-Finchley.com and thanks to all those who have made suggestions on how to improve the site.
This year we're hoping to expand the website further with a new History section being added to the site courtesy of our friends at The Finchley Society. Recently we submitted an article to the Archer regarding a 'school's page for the site. So far we've had a positive response from a few primary schools in the area. So due to the positive response we are pleased to announce that we will be adding a 'schools' page later this year. We are still waiting to hear from the secondary schools in the area, but if you, dear visitor, happen to talking to anyone there and could mention it to them, we'd be very grateful.
The 'schools' page will be split into primary and secondary and contain only the schools badges, address details, and denomination or religion if appropriate. Being impartial we will link through to those schools websites and let them speak for themselves. Events Coming up this year we look forward to the Battle of The Bands at the Constitutinal Club, where the best local band duke it out to get their place on the stage at the East Finchley Festival in June. Also look out for other events at the Constitutional Club. Check th boards outside the club regularly to see what's coming up. We are acutely aware that times are tough at the moment and the news just seems to be all economic woe. So, we're opening up this column to all local businesses who may wish to promote themselves. Every bit of publicity helps and with 800 visitors a month to the site, that's 800 potential customers.
If you'd like to take advantage of the above column, please email us text and a picture and we'll post it for you.
